Image analysis: Adele

In this Image of Adele she is against and netural beige background, it is a medium shot. She is wearing a classic sophisticated black dress, her hair is styled in a loose care-free bouffant and ponytail her hair and makeup reflect classic 60’s eye-makeup. Her body language contrasts with her style is she posed with her arms crossed with a cigarette in her mouth, this pose is typically masculine and therefore makes her look powerful the cigarette is a symbol of rebellion. This image of Adele reflects the edginess and gritty down-to-earth lyrics. Adele takes up most of the frame as she is the focus the lighting is dim the photo has been edited so the colour is less vibrant to add a vintage effect.

The down to earth tone of the image of Adele is reflected in her music video 'Make you feel my love' the lyrics are intimate and romantic. A realistic/raw scene of Adele in a hotel room is used over looking the breath taking view of the city lights reflecting that although there are thousands of people surronding her she can still feel lonely and isolated. Adele's image within the video is toned down her hair and make-up is messy reflecting that she is suffering from a sleepless night.

Like in the image portrayed of Adele I want my cover model to be presented as down to earth a person whom the target audience can truly relate to, I do not want the cover model to be intimdating towards the T.A, they should be someone who the target audience is able to identify with.
