For the front cover image I want the image to be bold yet simple of the model in front of a white backdrop this allows the magazine to follow excisting conventions most current music magazines, use a block coloured backdrop this allows the cover model to be seen clearly as they are the main focus. Occasionallys this convention is broken if the setting is of importance or relevance to the sell lines.
For my double page spread image, I will use nautural and urban settings, to reflect where the artist is from, by using these settings the target audience are able to relate to the artist featured and gives the audience a feeling of being let into the 'artists world' as they are shown in locations the artist comes from. The Urban setting features walls plagued with graffiti they can be used as a symbol of creativity and rebellion, some argue that graffiti is vandalism whilst others regard it as an art form and a usefull way of conveying political messages. Artists such as Banksy have used graffiti as a form of political activism.
